We can admit that romantic comedies might not be for everyone. The genre does follow the same formula of boy meets girl, some conflict, then boy and girl resolve it and live happily ever after. But once in a while someone spins a unique concept within the genre, and this we feel was done by director Eric Kissack and his team.
Blessings in Disguise is also very well paced and shot, with great performances. The theme of the short film is nothing new, “What really matters in relationships?” but the production team in using this genre give you enough laughs to diffuse the discomfort you might feel as you consider your own form of vanity and self focus in relationships.
